How to build a backyard pool

1. Get a site survey 

We’ll begin by personally visiting your property, where we’ll examine your yard and identify the best place to build your new pool or spa. At this point, we’ll also discuss any challenges or certain requirements that will be needed based on the specifications of your yard. 

2. Excavations

Following the agreement of designs, we’ll acquire the necessary permits and begin excavating. You’ll also meet your personal Project Manager, who’ll be by your side for the duration of the build, and be given a tailored timeline based on the unique nature of your project. 

3. Steel rebar installation and plumbing 

Steel rebars will be installed to support the structure of your pool. This is essential as a rebar will support the concrete and provide your pool with structural integrity. All major plumbing and electrical works will also be installed at this stage.

4. Apply gunite 

Gunite will then be applied, which forms your pool’s structure. This is a type of concrete that provides unrivaled longevity and allows us to offer lifetime warranties on our pools, meaning you don’t need to worry about leaks or cracks.

5. Tiling and coping is undertaken

Your pool and spa tiles, raised wall materials, and coping will all be added at this stage. These will be the design features you selected at the start of the process.

6. Decking installation

Pool decking will now be added, which provides you with a place to sit, entertain loved ones, or just relax by your pool. Our designers will also help you choose the best type of decking to suit your property. 

7. Apply Pebble interior 

We’ll apply a pebble finish to your new pool, which offers additional color and texture while also enhancing durability. 

8. Fill with water 

The final step is to fill your new pool with water. This means you’re now ready to dive in and fully make the most of your new luxury backyard pool!
